DADA KITCHENS REVIEWS

Having survived and grown through the transformations that have taken place over the years, the DADA brand today is synonymous with quality and elegance all over the world, but not everyone knows the almost centennial history of a company that started in 1926 from a small artisan workshop, that of Angelo Garavaglia .

Since then, the aesthetic canons, customer tastes, technologies available and the relevance of the kitchen in the domestic environment have changed, all changes in which the company has actively participated, evolving itself, for example, through the birth of the same DADA brand, commissioned by the son of the founder Gaetano Garavaglia in 1972, or with the entry into the Molteni group.

These and other stages have marked the affirmation of DADA as a reference point in the world of design kitchens, first on the Italian scene and then on the international one.

 

While evolving since the 1950s, during which the serial production of kitchens and wardrobes was launched for the first time, DADA has never abandoned that artisan character of the small carpentry workshop inaugurated by Angelo Garavaglia at the beginning of the last century.

This has translated into a periodic attention to the quality of the materials used and the details of the furniture produced, which did not fail even when the world market began, as was normal, to focus on the technological innovations that have gradually revolutionized the sector.

The result is given by today's DADA kitchens, a perfect blend of elegance, quality and functionality now recognized internationally, thanks also to the prestigious partnerships that have helped the brand to expand its boundaries, such as the one with the designer Vincent Van Duysen, responsible for example the design of the "Lifestyle Store" Molteni Group in New York, in the heart of Manhattan, the new global reference point.

 

It is impossible to retrace the history of DADA without telling that of the Garavaglia family, with which it is closely linked.
It was Angelo Garavaglia, in 1926, who started a small carpentry workshop that contained all the conditions for the development of the future brand, but not before passing through a fundamental stage, namely the birth of "Angelo Garavaglia and sons", a furniture factory that since 1950 can start the serial production of wardrobes and kitchens taking advantage of the first industrial warehouses.

It will be one of Angelo Garavaglia's sons, Gaetano, who will promote the idea of creating the new brand, DADA, officially bringing the company into modernity.

 

For several decades, at least until the technological innovations transformed the production processes, that of Angelo Garavaglia and sons possessed precisely the significance of a factory, a direct derivation of the initial artisan workshop to which more and more elements were gradually added, as in the case of sawmill inaugurated in 1946 which made it possible to start making boards from logs.

This character has remained somewhat intact even with the arrival of new machinery and technologies, as can be seen from the obsessive attention paid to aspects such as the quality of the wood or other materials used, as well as their processing.

 

The best places to immerse yourself in the style of the brand, observing its atmospheres and creations, are of course the DADA flagship stores distributed throughout the territory, starting from our recently inaugurated in Milan, in Corso Europa 2 up to the shops around the world, from New York to Paris, passing through Miami and Mexico City.
